I still have fond childhood memories of our small home-built darkroom, and all the magic I enjoyed crafting B&W prints with my (late) father. These days, my passion for photography still burns strongly, but my tools are now almost exclusively digital (OK, I still shoot the odd roll of Fujichrome and Tri-X).

I lecture in information technology and photo-imaging at the Challenger Institute of Technology (TAFE) in Western Australia. Perhaps the most fulfilling aspect of this job is the joy I get in introducing a new generation of wide-eyed photographers and graphics designers to the fundamentals of digital photography and electronic image processing.
