I'm clearing out hard drive space on 5 laptops and 3 "legacy" desktop pc's. Translation of "legacy," in this case, means they're almost broken, but still barely working, so I'll be focusing on getting photos off my old computers first.

And, I'm doing my best to sort and tag the photos as I put them up, weeding out duplicate photos as I find them. I'm not sure if I'll ever "officially" be done (because I'm always managing to take a few new pictures, adding to the numbers). But I am making slow progress!

Now, about me (Greg): Slightly introverted (unless I've really gotten to know you). Christian, open-minded about most things, workaholic, back to nature and outdoors, and dad to the most awesome daughter (Kristin (ilymitsy on Flickr)) for which anyone could ever wish and of whom I'm very proud! Kristin is mom to Kolton, my new grandson, of whom I'm also very thankful to God. (Yes, I took over 200 photos the first couple of days! lol)

Traditionally, I take 3-5 mini-vacations each year, in addition to my work travels. I love work, but I also find that the "unwind" time of a short vacation makes me more productive in general.

And time marches on. It seems only yesterday that I became a father... now I'm a grandfather and I'm seeing more and more of my father's face in the mirror as I get up each morning. (Where, oh where, did the time go?) As the Bible says, "Life is as a vapor that appears but for a moment, and then vanishes away." What started as a family project to remember our fun times together when my daughter was young has now become a personal project for me to try to document a little of our family history for my grandson and future generations to come.

Thanks to Flickr, I can remember some fun times, share a few of those memories with others, and perhaps preserve a little piece of our past for history.

(note: unless otherwise stated, all photos are SOOC-- straight out of the camera-- except for possible red-eye correction on a few shots. I have no problem with editing photos to make them more presentable or interesting, but it's not often that I have the time to dedicate to cropping, editing, and "tweaking" every single photo before posting. When I have made minor corrections other than for red-eye, you'll often see an "e" , "va" or "vat" on the end of those photos. This is just my way of remembering that this is not the original, should I need to find the original for some future use. )
