גרינפיס הינו ארגון בינלאומי ללא מטרות רווח, אשר משתמש במאבק לא אלים ויצירתי על מנת לחשוף בעיות סביבתיות כלל עולמיות ואת הגורמים להן. גרינפיס מחפש אחר הפתרונות והחלופות לבעיות אלו, למען עתיד ירוק וטוב יותר. מטרת הארגון היא לשמר את המגוון הביולוגי על פני כדור הארץ והבטחת סביבה בריאה לקיום המין האנושי.
