I jumped into Flickr thinking it was a great way to share my photographs with friends and family. Since opening the account, I have lost countless hours bedazzled by the scope of stunning images submitted from all over this small earth. I dallied too long with the caterpilller and his hookah, so have hawked some prized possessions to upgrade equipment thinking I might share what I see as beautifully as I have seen here on the pages of Flickr.

I might never progess beyond point and shoot, but the possibility of a faster learning curve is so appealing, I'm willing to try and learn some new techniques. The old dog adage is hopefully a misnomer.
