The CemeteryRegistry.US project was initiated by Gravestone Imaging to fulfill a need, the need for a registry of cemeteries in the U.S. and their locations. When doing Genealogy research, you sometimes need or want to visit an actual gravesite. In order to visit a gravesite, obviously you need to know where it is and how to get there. While I was doing genealogy research I had great difficulty finding lists of cemetery information, and what I did find, was largely incomplete and/or inaccurate. This is where we come in. Our goal is to create the most complete and accurate registry of cemeteries along with links to a variety of related resources.
