Suggest viewing my photostream on FlickRiver. it will display the photos on a black background that is far more viewer friendly as far as I'm concerned. Once your there ( www.flickriver.com/photos/grantsviews/ ) click on the button for " scale to fit screen" to improve the view. it seems to give more feeling than the smaller clips.

I Love to travel, I Use photography as a global language for sharing. I Have been taking photos since I was a teenager (still have some fading pics from my first kodak instamatic, my brother got the brownie as he was older.)
I've always been a hobbyist through the lens. I've enjoyed some video as well. Video recorders have come a long way in the last decade. I recently made a small purchase of a recorder and have experimented with it. definite place in the world....offers some really great depth to certain venues. However, at the same time takes away part of the imagination that is projected in every single still photo. I see value in both formats, stills and videos. I'm happy to have both as an option at this point.

Always enjoyed the memory associated with each photo. It was like snapping instantly back into the moment when I viewed the pics and it awakened all my emotion and senses of that moment.

The pics of smiles on my childrens faces in their baby years and then seeing that grow into laughter over time, what a pleasure. Now they're grown up and still smiling--very rewarding!

Time, such an important factor in what it is we're all doing here. Love philosophy, love all types of discussion, love to learn with hands on.

Also love boating and the ocean. Here where I live in Vancouver B.C. we have mountains, ocean, beaches, snow skiing, water skiing, endless hiking, endless opportunities to see and capture it for others to see and enjoy.

I find the flickr to be full of tools that help me develop my enjoyable spare time and look forward to many years in this environment.

Recently I started a blog on wordpress with my same ID of Grantsviews, take a look sometime, you may enjoy it and like to make your comments so we can share thoughts.

As of May 2011 I have decided to bring more of my photography to a wider audience by beginning construction on a website at Grantsviews.ca . over the next several months I will corresponding with those interested in obtaining copies of photobook publications I will begin to offer. In addition, Canvas prints will also be made available. Visit the website to begin correspondence.

ALSO:
1) I apologize in advance if I display my photos on any group incorrectly. pls advise me and I will remove the photos and myself from your group. I'm not here to be extra work for anyone or not to follow the rules of various administrators.....I simply wish to share my views with others and see the views they have seen and posted.
2) simply put.....oops ..and I'll gracefully back out and off your group with only the slightest hint or more that you may need to give me.
3) My 2008-9-10 and always resolution is to only join groups where I won't offend anyone or break any groups rules. I will do my best to read all rules and wont join any groups where I can see I would end up needing a good stiff reminder of my failing to do as I agreed to in joining any groups.
4) I would say more but I'm positive I have said quite enough already !!!!!!!!

So come one come all and I hope you will enjoy a brief journey with me along many paths of photo stimulation and imagination and sharing of our world.

For those wishing to publicize any of my photos, please send me a flickr mail with your request. All My Photos are copyright. Thank you.
