Born in the Black Country (in the heart of the West Midlands, England) and still living there. I used only small 110 cartridge or 120 roll film cameras for occasional pictures until Feb 1982 when I decided I wanted better pictures of my children growing up. I purchased a Fujica STX1 and added a few lenses during the next few years. Photography was a pastime used mainly to record the children growing up, places visited and railways.

Finally in October 2008 I gave in to the family and bought a digital camera. After 26 years of faithful service it could only be another Fuji – namely a FinePix S5800. Now I’m also photographing the Grand children and buses (the older the better).

It seemed a shame that so many pictures were in folders, being viewed only occasionally, so I decided to show some on Flickr. I hope that at least some will provide enjoyment for you as well.

My pictures are available for all to see. If you wish to make comments please do so, but remember it should be suitable for anyone to read.

22/08/2011 - 50,000 views of photos reached. I know that many of you will have achieved a greater number, but i feel the effort has been worth while with the number of 'favourited' photos and I thank you for comments received.
