Why?

It all started with a Canon PowerShot A620 which is actually Julia's. We won some money I got this great new mountain bike & Julia got the camera.

Well Julia never really saw the camera & the bike still looks new.

I have now graduated to the superb Panasonic DMC FZ-50.

Julia has been taking photographs for years & has a great eye for composition & getting the best out of our kids.

My camera is with me always - well nearly! I will take a diversion on the way to work if I suspect I may catch something interesting. I'm constantly learning (making up for lost time) Flickr is a wealth of information - I like to to ask questions 'how the hell did they do that'.

I must seem to passers-by a complete lunatic, taking photographs of completely inane things. I caught a chap recently taking pictures of the road (why!) Well on questioning him he had the same addiction as me - finding shots for Flickr!


What I'm reading or going to read - of course Ian McEwan has to be in the frame, a favourite.
