Golla & Gunda's photostream

We are one of the craziest of all doglovers. We've got two wonderful dogs, Golla and Gunda. Golla is a Pomeranian. He is very kind and loving. He has always been so. He came to our home, almost a year back. And within a few months, he managed to conquer our hearts and created for himself a unique place in them. He plays all day with us and in the evenings, goes out for a walk in the park.

Sometime back, a friend called me early one morning. ‘Soham,’ he said, ‘my Labrador, Phoebe just gave birth to twelve adorable pups. I don’t know what I’ll do with them. Can’t keep them all. Would you mind keeping one for yourself? I’m looking for loving homes for them. Let them grow a bit old and then, you can have whichever you want.’

And a month later, I brought home one of the pups, whom I named Gunda. Gunda is a runt. A runt is any animal, which is weaker and smaller than its siblings. There is a great possibility of death, and most of the runts usually are rejected by its mother. I’ve always been a bit sensitive and hence, got home the poor little creature and promised to shower him with love. But Gunda turned out to be very strong. And he really is very naughty too. While Golla is peace-loving and quite, Gunda is the polar opposite. He is perhaps, one of the naughtiest pups, in the world. But with a heart of gold.

At first, Golla was very afraid of the new guest. But within a few days, he started mothering the little pup. And the pup accepted Golla as his mother.







I have documented (I still am) the lives of my two dear dogs. Their love for each other, and for all, is really heart-warming. They really are very happy. Since, there is only one happiness in their lives: to love and be loved.

I, Soham, also happen to be a photographer. Though I mainly do Social Documentary Photography, I am also trying my hand at Pet Photography these days.
