There are some who can live without wild things, and some who cannot. These photos are the delights and dilemmas of one who cannot.

This Flickr site is a journal of what I do with myself outside of career and other life obligations.

Living in Los Osos, a small bayfront community on the Central Coast of California, I am active in nature related groups such as Audubon Society, Morro Bay Bird Festival and Pacific Wildlife Care (a rehab center for injured, orphaned and sick birds), and more recently in the Morro Photo Expo, a three day festival offering workshops and field trips for digital photographers.

Visiting uncrowded places, driving rural back roads and surrounding myself in nature are the things that bring me the most pleasure and allow me to exist in an almost blissful state of mind. Birding and photography are the excuses I use to get outdoors.
