Hi! I'm Jeff.

I have been taking photos since I was a kid. I still take photos for fun. My first camera was a Nikon 2020 that my dad let me borrow at summer camp. I still have it! In college, I minored in photography. Here is one of my college projects.

I like macro and night photography. Technically, I have learned a lot about the mechanics of photography from these two challenging areas. But my current goal is to learn to be more artistic and espressive. I want to show a bit more of myself in my work - such as emotion and story-telling.

I am a Nikon man. I inherited some Nikon cameras and lenses from my dad who also liked photography. When it came time to switch to digital, I stayed with Nikon because all my lenses still work. I now mostly use the new autofocus lenses I bought, but for landscapes and such, the manual focus lenses work just fine.

That said, I don't think it matters much what equipment one uses. Good photography is about the skill, passion, and creativity of the photographer.
