Join Art and Serge as they help guide the 2010 Olympic flame across Canada.
Art and Serge are responsible for the 26 GM vehicles that make up the Olympic Torch Relay convoy – 30 per cent of which are hybrids or use alternative fuel technologies. Along the way they’ll brave the glaring sun, cold winds, harsh rain, sleet, snow and ice – everything and anything that old man winter throws their way.
Their sole focus: keep the Torch Run on schedule so that the Olympic flame arrives in Vancouver in time to light the cauldron at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies on February 12 .
Equipped with camcorders and smart phones, this dedicated duo will put all Canadians into the virtual passenger seat of the GM convoy’s lead vehicle. They’ll be documenting the highs and lows of their journey – posting videos of the ride, sharing their favourite photos of the day, interviewing participants and giving excited spectators a chance to send best wishes to athletes. They’ll also talk to Canadians about the cars including many of the exciting features of GM’s alternative fuel fleet, which are making the 2010 Winter Games one of the “greenest” Olympics in history..
