"E' fin troppo facile per me, parlare bene di Soter, del suo modo di fare fotografia. E' un amico carissimo, che stimo...che ho ragione di stimare. Cercherò, per quanto possibile, di parlare della sua fotografia, in maniera distaccata. Per essere compreso, però, c'è bisogno che chi mi leggerà, veda l'album di questo autore, nella sua interezza, Sono poche foto, ma con un unificante connotato: la coerenza. Dalla foto sportiva, dinamica, a quella minimalista, passando attraverso il nudo e il ritratto, c'è un filo conduttore che lega le tante esperienze, e questo filo si chiama, ricerca. Non si è mai spezzato, questo filo, in ogni occasione ha voluto rivisitare il proprio modo di fare fotografia, modificarlo, assecondarlo al soggetto o ai soggetti. Se avrete la bontà di guardare attentamente, non potrete non notare, che tra la foto di teatro e il ritratto, c'è un rapporto di continuità che si chiama stile."
