Scottish from Edinburgh, married and living in Rome, Italy. Fun loving, serious about work but always with an eye to the absurd. I enjoy speed on a moto or skis and always admire creativity.
Significant 'home' cities include Edinburgh, Dublin, London, Rome and Messina. Significant others include NYC, Paris, Val di Fassa (Italia), Billom (France), Barcelona.
Normally doing consultancy work for the banking sector wearing various hats and I have just founded Q1 Foto Studio, Rome.
Theatre and concert production is a hobby.
Love travel but without modern airport security. Trains, boats and the car are proving more attractive.
Hate: Smart-Alec marketing gimmicks, pricing tricks and dog-rotton customer service: main culprit: Ryanair.
Photo Equipment: Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Pentax and Olympus. No brand loyalty whatsoever - just to the best the budget can get. Cheesed-off with too much marketing hype, pricing that doesn't make sense and silly technical reviews trying to compare apples to oranges - usually based on in-camera jpegs instead of RAW output. In the end we have to do just what the hell we want!
