The Give Me A Vote project's vision is to put a spotlight on the struggle for DC voting rights with public art that inspires discourse on democracy. Raise your hand and demand voting rights for Washington, DC.
The project was created by a diverse team of artists and voting rights activists living and working in Washington DC.
Artist collective Albus Cavus brings attention to community issues in urban areas through artistic and educational projects in public spaces. In Washington, DC their portfolio includes "The Watcher" mural, "Seasons in the City" mural and "From Edgewood to the Edge of the World", the largest mural in the District Columbia. The artists share their techniques and methods through Classrooms Program, a series of hands-on workshops and clubs that empower the residents with skills and tools to shape their own city.
The partners are DC Vote and CrossCurrents Foundation.
