Give It A Swirl Day (GIASD) is the national day of volunteering organised by Volunteer Centres Ireland (VCI) in conjunction with our member Volunteer Centres and other partner organisations. GIASD is a unique initiative as it concentrates on hands-on involvement rather than just fundraising, giving volunteers an immediate sense of achievement. For GIASD, we encourage people to create or join once-off volunteering opportunities that benefit them and the community – and which show that volunteering, even for a few short hours, can make a difference and be a lot of fun.

Who Can Participate:
Anyone! Individuals, families, schools, college and university groups, scout groups, businesses, Chambers of Commerce, County Councils, Tidy Town groups, Resident Associations, and any other interested national, regional, county or community groups.
