Illustrator and Designer
MissBAYONA

Born in Barcelona, Wellington based illustrator and designer Gisela Roura Puig is art director of her own company, MissBayona, where she offers freelance artistic services as well as her own line of hand-crafted bags and accesories. Her illustrative interests go from cute children´s book cartoons to soft-erotic black ink styled illustrations.

After Fashion Design school in Barcelona, she worked as an embroidery designer for the delicate world of flowers and patterns of french lingerie, selling her designs to top companies such as Van de Velde, Andres Sarda and Kookai among others.

Moving to Singapore for love in 2007 she became FrejaDesigns Studio Art Director giving a complete new elegant style to it´s FD jewellery and scarves line. Company branding, logos, brochures and cataloges followed product and model photoshoots, web page design and jewellery set display.

Moving to Australia in 2010 and now in New Zealand, MissBayona is selling her products in Wellington's flea markets and happy to be part of it´s artistic circles.

Embroidery Designer

Embroidery designs for the young lingerie market.
Far from classic, designs should be fresh, feminine, cute and very low cost.
Colour and tulle fabric very carefully chosen.
Direct contact with clients, punching process, production, quality control, distribution and sale.
Artistic concept, development, following and archive of all the embroidery designs, colour modifies and stock of each client unique products.
In charge of the embroidery sample machine which constant following warranted the correct combinations of threads and colours for each design, priorities in embroidering order production and first filter in the quality control of the product.
Making the Collection (10 collections every 6 months): delicate hand work where each new embroidery design is carefully selected, cleaned, cut and glued in a standard support. Perfectly organized by design families, tagged and duplicated.
Salon de la Lingerie and ¨Who is next¨ fairs in Paris twice a year. New upcoming colours and trends.
Most famous European lingerie brands with my designs: Van de Velde, Andrés Sardá, Kookai and Vivesa.
