In an effort to keep my contact list reasonably short, I may not add you right back, especially if I see your name for the first time.
The reasons why I add contacts to my contact list are mainly two.
1. I add photographers whose work I deem particularly inspiring, who have an above-the-average talent, or simply because I like their work;
2. this is, after all, a social network, and therefore I add photographers with whom I interact regularly. When I see that you are a steady contributor to my stream, I will add you as well.
