I am a rabid collector of Halloween, primarily vintage, but also of favourite modern Halloween artists. I am an animal activist, vegetarian, and am drawn to jewellery, art, lighting and clothing from the 1920s. I am a Creative Director in a downtown Toronto advertising agency, and my background is copywriting and journalism. My favourite horror movies are Carnival of Souls, The Haunting, The Innocents, The Exorcist, Nosferatu, Vampyre, The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, The Hunger, Night of the Living Dead, The Evil Dead, Let's Scare Jessica To Death, The Thing, Blair Witch Project, and the Japanese versions of The Grudge and The Ring. My favourite artists are Nicoletta Ceccoli and Camille Rose Garcia. My favourite musicians are Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus and The Stranglers. I am obsessed with fireworks and generally enjoy being obsessed with dead people's stuff. I live with my husband Robert, who is an extraordinary nature photographer who specializes in owls and loons (his Flickr name: Surfinbird@rogers.com), and three rescue cats, Connor O'Malley McNeilly Beeney, Nathaniel and Romero (yes, named after George Romero because this poor cat had a massive wound on his neck when we found him and looked like he'd been bitten by a zombie). All of our cats are FIV (feline aids) positive and all are extremely healthy and may well live longer than non FIV cats. I consider myself moderately sensitive, and have a history of mediums and psychics in my family tracing back to Ireland.
