The island of Tasmania is the southern-most state of Australia, a country with a well deserved reputation for excellence in education and training.

Government Education and Training International (GETI) Tasmania is a State Government organisation, operating within the Department of Education.

We are the central business unit representing Tasmanian Government education and training providers to the world.

GETI Tasmania specialises in connecting international students and businesses with flexible education and training development solutions from our local government education providers, which are:

- Tasmanian Government Schools and Colleges (Years 1-12)

- The Tasmanian Polytechnic (formerly known as TAFE Tasmania)
Providing vocational education and training

- The Skills Institute, collaborating with business on workforce development.

- GETI Tasmania also has a strong partnership with the University of Tasmania, enabling pathways with credit towards university study.
