On my profile page it says I have been a member of Flickr since May, 2009. Actually I just started doing the Flickr thing in May 2010. I am here to improve my skills as a photographer. I am seeking out fellow photographers to be critics of my work and if others are so inclined I will make suggestion about their photography. According to my wife, family members and friends my pictures are awesome, beautiful, inspiring the adjectives just go on and on. I know this is not true. I figure at Flickr as I meet members I will discover truly what people think of my photography and this will help me become a better photographer.

My first camera was a Pentax K1000. The moment I first took a picture with that camera I fell in love with photography. I love the idea that with photography you capture a moment that will never happen again. That sounds like the old commercials for Kodak. But it is true.
In the past I have been a wedding photographer, portrait photographer, street photographer, and an advertising and fashion photographer. Now I am slowly learning to be a landscape and nature photographer. People who are not photographers don’t understand that it takes a whole different set of skills when one changes from (as an example) fashion photography to landscape photography. I am slowly learning that new set of skills.

I am better at marketing and selling my images than I am a photographer. But that is slowly changing. I am self-taught, which means I learn from my mistakes. My biggest problem as a photographer is I never have grown up and things kind of come easy for me. Yes, I never found a party that I did not like and for the longest time I would do enough to just get by. I also have a juvenile sense of humor. My wife likes those traits of my personality but sooner or later one has to mature. Hopefully I am now at that stage of my life where I can do that.

Okay, I managed to tell you a little bit about myself without disclosing my true age. That is a good thing. But if you are really curious just visit Casper Wyoming and look for that handsome guy riding around on a grey SYM 200 Scooter. Someday I am going to get me a nice motorcycle. After all I do live in Wyoming.
