Photography has been a passion for many years, even back in the days when all I could afford was a £30 Kodak APS camera. I upgraded to a SLR as soon as I could and shot slide for a few years before moving over to digital. I've travelled fairly extensively since the mid-1990s and been lucky enough to have spent extended periods in some beautiful parts of the world providing some outstanding photographic opportunities.

Up until 2005 I was a web programmer but retrained in 2006 getting a Masters in Tropical Marine Ecology. I worked as a coral reef researcher in the Caribbean for nearly 2yrs and, although I’m now based in the UK coral reefs remain one of my principal interests. I'm due to start a PhD in October looking at restoration methods for Caribbean reefs.

The main focus of my photography is wildlife and landscapes, and since 2005 I've been shooting underwater mostly overseas. Now based primarily in the UK I’m slowly expanding my collection intending to showcase some of the spectacular scenery and wildlife many people in this country take for granted.
