Trying to get out more. I've just really begun to realize what an amazing resource this site is, and how awesome the people I interact with are.

I seem to take a lot of photos of myself. I don't want anyone to think that I do that because I'm vain or anything stupid like that. It's just because:
a-I'm always around,
b-I can't afford to pay a model, and
c-I'm dead sexy. (Ok, scratch that last bit. Maybe...)

I think in my heart I've always wanted to entertain people, but at the same time I find myself crippled with fear at those rare moments that i am the center (hell, even just near the center. off to stage right of center...) of attention.

I'd say a third of what I post here is just stupid bullcrap that makes ME laugh. Those Motivators are the best thing on the net ever, after the ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US meme. I'd like to think that I'm harnessing some of what mythologists call the energy of theTrickster, like Loki, the Coyote, or R2-D2. I figure if you're going to have delusions of grandure, you might as well make them really satisfying ones.

Most of whatever else I photograph is just anything that brings me some amount of joy. The beauty of Creation itself, to the man-made symmetry (or Asymmetry, especially in regards to Downtown Pittsburgh) of our urban centers, to that perfect smirk my niece makes when I play Peek-a-boo with her.

Recently I've started screwing around with some darker imagery, just to see where that takes me, and quite frankly just to see if I can piss some people off.
