My friends say I love to sew because I never took Home Ec. Maybe they're right, but for whatever reason, I DO love to sew. I was raised in a small town in North Dakota and I think I have always sewn.... selling "custom" pencil pouches in elementary school, making purses and prom dresses in high school, marriage and then on to maternity and baby clothes, quilts and then doll clothes. I've come full circle through my own daughters' prom dresses and now I'm sewing for my adorable grandkids. I love it!

I officially launched Geneva Designs 4 years ago and named it after Mom: Geneva. If I had a sewing teacher, she was it. She's a fun mom, she's always been an encouragement to me. No matter what the zany project was, she supported it. I learned alot through trial and error and she allowed me to experiment with some awfully "creative" garments and projects during my youth. Thanks Mom!

Through my years of sewing I have developed some techniques that work well. I reinforce all pockets, ties and other stress points with extra stitching for durability and my fabric is always prewashed and machine dried so you won't experience shrinkage in your laundry. I do suggest you dry clean my Diaper Bags and Tote Bags.

If you're interested, I have an online selling site, titled, of course, Geneva Designs.

Please contact me if you are interested in anything you don't see on my etsy site. Well, other than new kitchen cabinets or something like that :-)
