Thirtysomething in Portland, OR. New to photography (obviously) but learning slowly. I have hundreds of pictures but only a dozen or so are usable. I have a Canon S5IS which I hate and a rebel xs that I'm still learning how to use.

As far as comments are concerned, please do. I speak and/or understand English, Deutsch, Español, Français (Québecois) and Cymraeg.

If you don't know me but I've added you as a contact, please take it as a compliment. It may be a specific image or an overall style, but you've posted something that grabbed my attention. I'm terribly shy about posting comments because I never know what to say.

My contact list will attest to the fact that I'm very interested in the male form. However I detest all the notes and lecherous commentary that those types of images tend to attract. I'm particularly intrigued with the works of users like sansreproche and macon_blair; that type of playful exploration of their own forms fascinates me. Studio porn-type shots doesn't much interest me; I'm much more into expression and (self-)exploration rather than attempts at arousal. I have started to explore that kind of photography but am not yet comfortable enough with my skill (or lack thereof) to actually post any of it. Yet.
