I am a Christian, a family man, a Veteran, an American, geopolitically and technologically savvy, politically conservative, and OBSESSED with photography.

I just can't stop taking pictures. I think it's an addiction. Sometimes I take pix of stupid things, like a candy wrapper on the table, a flag, or a catsup bottle. Oh, well. You can be the judge of what's stupid, right?

I love taking pictures of people, but just can't get anyone to model for me for longer than a minute, if that. My “unofficial” granddaughter, Alexis (age 5 years), will sometimes pose for M&Ms. My newest granddaughter, Brianna (age 19 months), thinks I’m the paparazzi and gives me about 3-5 minutes and then gets bored. Everyone else is camera shy. Except for the dogs and cats. Some are curious, the others don’t care. They’re probably pretty used to me by now.

I am by NO means a professional photographer, but my analytic mind is catching on quickly and can take a few good shots every now and then and recognize photography that I can appreciate.

It does seem, however, that for every 20 pictures or so that I take, there's only one good one in the batch. But I'll keep trying because sometimes I end up with one I would call perfect. I am still trying to find my "niche" so you'll find shots of many different types and subjects.
