I'm a PhD student in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University. My general academic interests are in environmental education, environmental philosophy and human-animal studies.

I live with my wife, Divinggrrl (not her real name), in the Annex neighbourhood of Toronto. When I'm not working at being a student, I enjoy being outdoors and the human alpha-male (and chief photographer) to two 'oft photographed Border Terriers named Ollie & Griff.

Often people think that you need to get out of the city to see traces of the natural world. That's not the case! Visit the Toronto Wildlife Group to see the wildlife observations made in and around the Toronto area.
