Digital imaging is fascinating. Flickr is extraordinary. So many wonderful images. I must say it has been a rather humbling experience to view such wonderful work from the members of Flickr from all over the world. After participating in the Flickr site for a while I have come to realize that my work, compared to others, can only be described as eclectic. You can properly infer from my images that I'm an incurable romantic. I'm fascinated with chiaroscuro. I so admire the clean lines and purity of most of the images in Flickr, but, alas, I have a tendency to not stop meddling with my images when I should stop. Virtually all my images are the result of artistic manipulation and the use of composites. Please bear that in mind when you view them. After years of painting with acrylics and oil I should have learned that most valuable of lessons: one must know when enough is enough. The site below is where I spend my Fridays, talking with authors about their books. I was born and raised in Alabama but I spent the last 50 years of my life in Florida- most of those years with my dear wife Jerre, who passed away in February of 2009.

    Loon Man says:

"Hank is worth watching: he has a playful sense of humor with what he sees and the results he delivers. He's also a great guy to go out on a photo hike with. If you're going to be in his hood, ask; if he's coming to yours, clear your calendar. You won't regret it!"

    Martin Beek says:

"Hank Conner’s photographs are extraordinary , they seem to link with images that linger in the back of one’s mind. He uses photoshop in a creative way, often his images have a cinematic quality; like stills from an old movie, with an incredible presence and sense of drama. I look forward to seeing much more of his work over the coming years and recommend his work to others who like photography to move well beyond the confines of a snapshot."
