Photography is a precious hobby to me. I like to do all sorts of photography of whatever catches my eye. I do a lot of postprocessing on my pictures and I mostly prefer black and white shots to color because colors often distract me.

Please notice that you must mention me as the creator of the photo and you cannot modify my pictures.
I'd like to hear from you if you use my photos, be it in your blog or otherwise - just let me know what you plan to do with my shots.
Please do not add group images and sparkling "awards" in my comments, I really don't like them and I will delete them. Also please do not invite me or my photos to any groups.

A note on contacts
Hundreds of people have marked me as a contact. Although I am honored that so many think well enough of me and my work to do so, please understand that I only have enough time to keep up with a few people on Flickr on a regular basis. Please do not take offense if I do not mark you as a contact in return. I wish I had a lot more time to spend browsing on Flickr, but between my job and my personal life outside of Flickr I simply can not devote that amount of time.

"Gato's Flickrstream enthält für den Betrachter erstaunlich viele unterschiedliche Motive und Örtlichkeiten zu entdecken bereit. Der Fotograf arbeitet sehr gerne auf experimenteller Basis und weisst hier und da auch minimalistische Ansätze auf, welche er zugänglich gestaltet dem Betrachter zu Genusse führt. Die Gallery durchzublättern lasst den Betrachter eindeutig nachvollziehen, das Gato Schärfe und Licht niemals aus den Augen verliert und gekonnt einsetzt. Ebenfalls wird dem Betrachter auffallen, das die Werke des Fotografen von Kontrasten durchdrungen und farblich stimmig dargestellt werden. Eben diese Farbe wagt Gato auch wegzulassen und begibt sich gerne in den Bereich der Schwarz-Weissfotografie, bei welcher er ein geschultes Auge für Form und Linie unter Beweis stellt. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist das Werk "Forest", welches für mich ein einwandfreies Naturmotiv darstellt."
