Gate Theatre, London

Since 1979 the Gate has distinguished itself as London' international theatre and a destination venue in the heart of Notting Hill. For 30 years we have been dedicated to producing work from overseas and renowned for launching theatre makers in our famously tiny spcae. One thing that remains as clear today as in 1979, is that our capacity to dream is founded on the enthusiasm and passion of our audience, artists and donors.

A hothouse for brilliant young talent, we nuture and support actors, directors and designers to make bold and innovative work. Artists who have made their mark here include directors such as Stephen Daldry, Dominic Cooke, Katie Mitchell, and actors such as Jude Law, Sophie Okonedo and Rachel Weisz.
