Charles Garvey has been a full time professional photographer for over 28 years. After graduating from The University of Tennessee, he received a certificate in still photography from STIK(now Pellissippi State in Knoxville) where he then taught photography for three years. He is a Past President of the Smoky Mountain Professional Photographers, and Past President of the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association. He holds the Tennessee Service Degree and Certified Degree. In addition to numerous print and service awards, in 2001 he was honored with the Professional Photographers of America National Award for outstanding service to professional photography. He was awarded the Southeastern Award in 2007 for service to, and the promotion of, professional photography. In 2008, he was inducted into the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association Hall of Fame.
