Former Marine Sergeant, Viet Nam vet, ex cop, been there, done that. And always trying to do everything I can for my grown kids. I've seen enough bad in this world. Your FAMILY is what holds you together. And trying to preserve the wonderful sights in this world with a camera is one of the greatest things we can do for Mother Earth. And share the beauty.

I have also had the torch passed to me to be the Administer the group Tour of Duty. I am always seeking suitable photos for this group. Send new photos and Veterans my way. Of particular interest are photos taken by Operation Love and Honor Flight. One of the items on my Bucket List, is to maybe one day be good enough to be an Op Love photographer. What better, than to be able to give back a little something for our Heroes coming home from a Tour of Duty.

Although I cannot devote as much time to it as I wish, my true wish would not be to work for National Geographic. It would be to work with and for Ken Burns.

I appreciate the visits, comments, and Faves! But if you don't have photos for me to view, I'll show you how quickly I can block you. I have no time for a one-sided relationship! Play fair, or don't play at all.........

Fave and run, without a comment, and I'm liable to block and run, without a comment! Comment or Fave and no photos for me to see, I'll block you for sure!

NO PROFILE OR PUBLIC PHOTOS - KEEP MOVING ALONG

And yes, it took a while, but my son Eric has finally converted me to a Mac-Man. Get a Mac, you'll never look back! Thanks, Eric.

And if you want to know a little bit more about me and where I come from, then go through my Viet Nam set of photos. You will never know where I'm going, if you don't know where I've been............

Maybe, one day, again.......
Touch Me, When We're Dancing

NOTHING has a higher priority than your FAMILY.

And to those Viet Nam vets out there, I invite your viewing and comments on the left column of my Viet Nam Set. Please open the set to see my comments and feel free to express your thoughts and feelings.............

"Once upon a time I wrote a testimonial for Frank. It is still there, down below. Then, due to serious lack of time, I had to close my account. Still, very busy but I re-opened again, and I guess this gives me a second opportunity to say just how wonderful this man really is. Wonderful? he is a national treasure!!

I read somewhere once that: 'Best friends are like diamonds, precious and rare. False friends are like leaves, found everywhere.' Frank is a real diamond.

I thank you, dear friend, for being exactly who you are."

"Where do I start in writing this testimonial? Do I focus on the fantastic talent Frank has as a photographer? Or, do I focus on the wonderful, considerate, and generous spirit he has as a person? You see, both his talent and the person he is are equally amazing.
I strongly suggest marking him as a contact so that you don't miss any of his posts. It is always a pleasure to view Frank's photographs, because you never know what you're going to see next, but what you DO know is that it will be captured absolutely beautifully.
Oh, and if you mark him as a contact, you'll find yourself soon switching that to mark him as a "friend", because that's what he truly is."

"Frank, it is with the utmost pleasure that I get to share on flickr with you. If there is anyone who shows the sheer joy of photography like Frank, we have not yet met. Whether it be wildlife, vintage cars, floral or other genre's, Franks imagination takes us on a wonderful photographic tour. One of my favorites is "Walking in Capone's footsteps". The viewer feels what the subject must and the experience is bigger than life. Magnificent work Frank, thanks for sharing.

"If I had to describe Frank in just one word I would say 'Generous'. Frank is generous with his comments. Kind with his advice and is one of the best photographers on flickr. What I like so much about his photostream is the fact that it portrays life. And life is not just beautiful flowers and stunning butterflys. Unfortunately, it sometimes involves war.

Frank's images and stories about Vietnam are so toucning and heartfelt. When I read his notes and saw his powerful images from that period I found myself lost for words. I found myself drafting and deleting lines, unable to express myself properly. I will try to sum it in two words - Thank You. Thank you for being here on flickr and thank you for being who you are."

"Frank was one of my first contacts....The 1st photos I posted were from my time with the Marines in Viet Nam......it turned out that Frank was there at the same time, that I was and used the same helicopter Landing Zone (LZ 401)....I am sure that we passed each other in Nam....maybe even had a conversation while waiting for our birds....Frank was a gifted photographer back in the day and I really enjoy his pix from the Nam.....Fast forward to the future and look at Franks body of work and you will see an artist who uses a camera as his brush....look at his work and you will see a photographer who has mastered a diverse range of subject matter.
Frank is insightful and gracious with his comments...he shoots from the hip, too...he tells it like it is!

He is a true flickr friend, he is always there with a comment

and what I like about Frank, he says what he thinks.

Frank has a good eye for seeing the simple beauty in things

and that's what you see in his pictures.

It is a honor for me to know a man like Frank.

    God Bless you Frank

"I have been wanting to write a testimonial forever for Frank and have never gotten around to it until now. Frank is one of the most generous, kind hearted souls on Flickr. Frank is always there to make me smile and was so caring and thoughtful when I lost my grandmother. Not only that, but he is one of the best photographers I know. His photography is so beautiful and he is such an inspiration to me not only as a photographer, but as a human being. He is and always will be, one of my best friends here and I'm so grateful that we found each other here on Flickr. He really is an awesome person and I cannot say enough great things about his photography or him as a person! Thank you so much Frank for always brightening my day with your words and your photography!"
