JoeFriday says:
"I, unlike Jan, have met Gabriel and he is just as genuine as his photos are. The kind of guy that would give you the shirt of his back. And we're not talking a cheap polo from Target... no sirree. But I digress.
I often see photos by other photogs and think "I could do that".. but Gabriel's work frequently has me scratching my head, wondering how he captured a certain angle or lighting in a way that conveys the ambiance with the image. Sure, it doesn't hurt that he has gear that cost more than my college education. But at least he's using it, unlike me and my 'learning'. But it's more than just what he's carrying. It starts with what he sees. He just puts the camera between his brain and the subject, and gives us a glimpse into his mind. And that's what separates the photographer from the tourist.
And let's not forget that he has the cojones to take photos in situations where the rest of us would sheepishly hide our camera and regret it later."1st November, 2007

"I've never met Gabriel, but sometimes I wonder about him and just how big his genius IQ really is... but I'm off topic. His photography; it's very, very good. Talk a walk thru his eyes, you won't regret it."
