The Amateur Radio Station I am licensed by OFCOM here in the UK to operate happens to have the callsign G4FUI ...

Just one of those little things which irritate me (slightly)

I am not a number, I am a Free Man !!!!! ............

I have also been reissued with my old Class B call - G8LBT.

It takes all sorts of course, and licensed amateurs who refer to themselves as their callsign are, in my opinion as quaint as they probably think I am!

In the Grand Scheme of Things it doesn't matter a jot!

I still think Ham Radio is a great hobby, I hope you may find something of interest here!

I like making stuff. I also have quite a collection of the older generation of commercial equipment which I like to fettle up and keep airworthy. This can be quite a challenge.

This interest is the main feature of www.g4fui.net

In the interest of pure self-education, I am currently running an Apache web server on a home PC, and this server hosts (virtually) a small number of micro web sites.

Fortunately the machine I am using (a Dell Dimension 3100 of 2006 vintage) is pretty quiet, so I run it practically 24/7.

Anyhow, if you check out my ISP homepage at www.mjrigby.demon.co.uk you will be able to leap off and have a quick look to see if my sites are up ...

It won't take long to see what is there yet, though : )
