Who am I and why am I here?

I have been a member of flickr since April 2006.

I have always loved taking photos, but I have never had an idea of the science behind the photography until the day I stumbled into an Italian guy here at flickr.

The guy opened my eyes for the photography world and since the meeting I have tried to develop my photos. At least I try to think before I shoot. The guy became my teacher and you can find him here: funadium

I love shooting flowers but I try to experiment with other things too.

I have a Nikon D40 and a couple of different lenses, and in june 2009 I extended my gear with a Nikon D300 and a new lens... I hope I did the right thing...

I am using a lot of my sparetime at this hobby. It is really a time-consumer but I enjoy it a lot and I'm having a lot of fun too.

Maybe I should remember to say that I am in manual mode the most of the time, even I resisted a lot in the beginning. I have learned that the automated programs are not allways good enough ;-)
