I'm learning all the time. I love to take pictures of buildings and things that do not move too much. Sometimes I have been accused of taking too much time with my photography but I feel now I am getting better. I also used to refuse to take pictures on overcast days but now I am learning to make the most of various different light conditions. I'm learning that grey skies can look just as impressive as bright blue ones!

The thing that inspires me the most in my life is travel, be it within my own country or other people's. I'd like to have the confidence to take more portrait shots of people, especially in other countries but at the moment I am usually too shy to ask. Again this is something I am learning to do more and I am gaining a lot more confidence recently, especially after teaming up with a good friend who takes mostly these types of shots.

Finally I like to meet my Flickr contacts. Here is a list of those I've met in real life;

    "Fugu's enthusiasm for photography is evident in his work here. He travels around the country and Europe taking pictures, sampling life, and his work is always a joy to view.

    He is also a good friend and top bloke."

    "Fugu's photographs are an inspiration to us all, and the kind of photography that makes you look at the world with fresh eyes. I liked the photos of hurricane Katrina especially - no blue skies there Fugu!"

    "Several months ago "Fugu Numb Mouth" (Matt to his friends) showed me a website on which he had published some of his Korean photographs. Further acquaintance proved that he was very widely travelled indeed and it was a casual suggestion of mine that he should investigate flickr or a similar medium. The wise man took note and his photographs can now be enjoyed in all their glory by an unlimited audience. He has quickly gone "pro" as befits his status indeed.

    Matt's photographs are often of a class to inspire a good natured envy. How does he get his city scenes to look so pristine? How does he get his distance shots so crisp? He's got the type of talent for subject matter and execution that should get the guide book people searching for his contact details!"
