Most of my photos are taken on an iPhone4.

My photos are very much dominated by the ongoing 'Ft Lauderdale Sun' twitter project, where images are uploaded directly from the beach, or very soon after.

The project now has its own home over at www.ftlauderdalesun.com which means that the more conventional FLS photos will live there from March 2011. The shots on flickr are more my own, slightly darker take on iPhoneography.

The Twitter account for FLS is www.twitter.com/ftlauderdalesun

ftlauderdalesun.redbubble.com/ has some of my photos available in high quality print format. If you have a particular shot you'd like a print of, let me know and I'll make sure it's added.

Background to the project:

I could take out my D70 or a Powershot out, but the twitter element is crucial to this day-to-day project. I could also retouch and sharpen and saturate these images beyond all recognition (as a lot of #iphonography folks seem to like doing) but that's not really what this is all about.

The FLS project aims to show the power of 'Iive' photos and videos, partly to find out what the iPhone's picture capabilities are (what MY capabilities are!), but mainly to share a pretty cool dawn experience.

Who am I? I'm Andy - Creative chief of a design and branding company with clients in the auto racing, sports, food, and manufacturing industries. Previous design-lives include record sleeves, magazines and national news television. I do take photos professionally when required - mainly at autoracing tracks and speedways.

Like some folks have to take the dog for a walk before work, I feel compelled to take the iPhone out for a walk.

I know it looks like I'm devoting a LOT of time to this, but the devotion is much more to my two mile walk up and down the shore, which is as much to do with fitness and exercise than anything. I happen to take these pics while on the walk. I probably spend about 90 mins a day at the beach, after which its the shoes-on stuff (work).

If I do my job right the only difference between my photo and yours is resolution.
