The thing I like about photography is that it freezes a moment in time (and space). It is like a preserved memory. And just like the memory of a scene is subjective because you tend to forget the parts which do not "fit", just alike is photography because you tend to frame only a certain part of the world around you and because you pick one certain instant in time. Every picture is in some way a lie. A photograph may show real things, but not reality. Even if you do not postprocess you picture... you camera, your film, the very frame you choose is a processing or altering of reality.

I always wondered why the "favourite" section below does not include favourite photographers. Well, mine is Henri Cartier Bresson. I will never ever in my whole life be able to produce anything that would be even slightly comparable to the things he did.
