I can not remember the age I was when I was not taking a picture of someone... My first digital camera was an Olympus 2.1 mpx, which I loved! It was not until my brother suggested in December 2005 that I should get an SLR, because it was "such a shame that I was taking all these great pictures of our baby with a point and shoot" that I got my first Canon 20D.

In June of 2006 I was ready to sell it and get myself a "better SLR" because I was so disappointed in all the picutures I had taken, none of them were in focus enough, none of them had correct colors.... One photography class later and one Canon lens later, I was happy as a clam! Our second kid is one day going to enjoy her baby pictures much more than our first...

I was asked to photograph my first wedding in June 2006, which had me nervous probably as long and as much as the bride was about her entire wedding... I have since been asked to do portraits, 2 holy communions, a christening and 2 other wedding! It has been and is still a steep and fun learning curve!

I love photographing people, kids are certainly my favorite.
I like looking for details in the big picture, whether photographing people or the great outdoors.
The challenge remains, how to get the camera to "see" what I see!
