My name is Tom, I'm a native Okie approaching 40. My wife Dianne and I take a large number of pictures to use on various blogs and websites such as: - our kayak gifts and gear store, Oklahoma Wine News,Taste Oklahoma News, VineByDesign.com and PaddleTales - Oklahoma Kayaking. In case you didn't guess, we live in Oklahoma. I am also obsessed with kayaking, so most of our shots will have some water in them.

Flickr helps us by making our photos easily available on a wide number of websites. I enjoy the easy availability of auto-generated thumbnail versions, as well as the vast new community of Flickr Friends I have met through this service. I think more webmasters should consider hosting images on Flickr, there are a number of excellent benefits.



Learning digital photography via Flickr comments may not be the best way to learn the art, but it has worked better than anything i have ever tried before! I've tried other photo sharing sites, but none of them deliver the amount of helpful feedback and comments that Flickr provides. Such a great community!

Any advice you have on the art of photography will always be welcomed. We have a couple of high zoom consumer cameras rather than DSLR cameras, but we still have a ball chasing the wildlife and sharing our shots with you folks! Your images never cease to amaze and inspire us.



Since we bought our first digital camera a few years ago, we have been constantly amazed by the way it is expanding our awareness and appreciation of the visual world around us. Of course, we have owned cameras in the past, but before Flickr we rarely saw any great photography.

Most importantly, we have enjoyed the mentoring and support that we get from the Flickr community. Thanks to all of you for your time and your precious feedback!




One day, we plan to shop for a DSLR camera, so we are always glad to get suggestions on camera choices as well.
