After college, I spent my third paycheck on a Pentax K1000 SLR, and started taking "souvenir" photos to help me remember the beautiful things I see.
I got out of photography for awhile, but last year a photo club started at my work, and the club's first show inspired me to get a new camera (a Canon G9) and start playing with digital images.
I still take a number of photos to document events and for my own satisfaction, but am working to make images that stand on their own.
