All I can say is look through his work!
I still use film as well as digital, and was pleased to see that Fred does the same. He demonstrates wonderful technical ability, as well as having a great eye for composition.
He also takes the time - and it is often very time consuming! - to provide the technical details to his shots. This is incredibly helpful to anyone who asks, and I think we all do at some stage, 'how did he/she do that?'
