I am a college professor and also like photography. Most of my photographs are from my town and Chicago, IL, but I have also traveled to Europe and Latin America (Colombia and Costa Rica, for instance). My gear is mostly film, though very recently (in Nov 08) I bought a Nikon D700 to use with all my Nikon glass... and it has been a lot of fun.
My photographs have a merely documentary goal. I like to think of them as art, but I'm aware of the fact that they're not. However, if anything, they serve (already) to document places and people around me.
