Ho scelto il nome d'arte FRANCIS RED con il quale ho iniziato da qualche anno l'attività di fotografo professionista: con fotocamera Nikon D3, obiettivi Nikkor, luci e studio altamente professionali.
Mi piace immortalare soprattutto la bellezza femminile, attraverso immagini glamour e di nudo artistico.

ROMA (ITALY) is one the most beautiful city in the world and I have had a big luck because I am just living and working in this magic city.
My real origin is from Sicily, an warm and sweet-smelling earth.
Francis Red is my stage name, just to don’t escape to the “Anglophil ritual”, but my real name is the Italian more tipical Francesco Rossi.
I am a total line “visual communication” professional. I am 47 years old and I have started to photograph when I am 16.
My artistic photographic style origin in a self-study way. I haven’t master but I have done everything by myself: this means 31 years experience about searching images.
I think about that I drawed inspiration from Helmut Newton (international) and Gabriele Rigon (italian): this is sure because I like too much their photographic style.
Woman body and figure are the principal subjects in my images. The theme is “hot sensuality”:
first, through a sensual look who shows model personality; second, with a tasteful and glamour pose; third, helping with sexy dresses and underwear.
Before every shoot I try a correct elaboration about sets, scenes and model characteristics. Nothing of improvised. My model must play the part of seductive and trasgressive woman.
For my opinion, I have no problem to work in studio or in outdoor. The most important results I have when I can control every light details on the scene and, above all, on the model. I don’t like too much shadows but I prefer perfect lights.
In my work I try always an important thing: the total feeling between model and photographer.
I would to inspire into eroticism and into fine beauty searching that is inside in every female figure.
I consider my job as a costant search of attraction through the most beautiful images as possible: a complicity based by three irreplaceable elements: model, photographer, reader (or web-shipper) who look at the final image.
About my photographic technical, the complete transfer from film to digital have been eight years ago and I am really enthusiastic for this matter.
I am actually working with Nikon D3 equipment with some types of lens: my favourite is 24-70 and 70-200 VR lens because is appropriate to a fine portrait solution.
