I'm a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, where I focused on Archaeology while getting a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, and double-minored in Sociology and Geology.

I'm currently an archaeologist with a cultural resources firm near Fort Knox in Kentucky and I'm a staff archaeologist for the Belize Valley Archaeological Reconnaissance (BVAR) project. I live in the beautiful Highlands of Louisville, Kentucky, where I'm also a graduate student at the University of Louisville.

I also brew beer, work on local food and sustainability projects, and write for a local music website, Backseat Sandbar. You could say I have my fingers in many pies.

My photography has been published in several venues and media and is currently floating around in a travel guide for Portland, Oregon and a few pieces are on display at My Old Kentucky Homebrew in downtown Louisville, KY.

I don't post-process my photos except to convert from color to monochrome. I could go on a tirade about my opinion of digital manipulation of images but I'll stow it. To each their own. Art is feeling right about doing what you enjoy, regardless of how you accomplish that.

My equipment:
Camera: Cannon EOS 300D DSLR (w/ IR remote)

Lenses: 18-55mm standard kit lens; 75-300mm long-range telephoto zoom; f/2.8 wide-angle zoom lens

Tripod: Joby gorillapod mini
