I'm not new to the camera, but certainly re-awakened, and I was never very good at it before. My first camera was a Pentax ME Super that I received as a wedding gift from my bride some 24 years ago. What I use now is a Pentax Optio 230 that I got in 2002 for backpacking because it is small, light, and uses replaceable rather than rechargable lithium batteries. Pretty amazing for a 2.0 Megapixel camera. Sadly, I drowned the Optio on the West Lions trip, now I've got a Canon Powershot A610 to learn how to use.
The A610 was was retired in May 2011 and replaced with a Canon Powershot SX20IS.
