Fox Chase Cancer Center is the region's only hospital devoted entirely to cancer treatment, research and prevention. Our 100-bed hospital, located in Philadelphia, is consistently ranked by U.S. News and World Report among the top cancer centers in the nation. Our nationally and internationally recognized staff provides consultations and treatment recommendations for all types of adult cancer.
Fox Chase Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit institution formed in 1974 by the union of American Oncologic Hospital (one the the nation's first cancer hospitals, established in 1904) and the Institute for Cancer Research (founded in 1927). Fox Chase was also among the first institutions to be designated a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center in 1974.
