Wigton also celebrates the granting of it's market town charter 750 years ago, and a programme of events is planned throughout 2012.

Fountain Gallery is an exciting gallery in Wigton featuring original work by local artists.
Run co-operatively by artists and craftspeople who live within a few miles of Wigton, the gallery has a wonderful selection of paintings, drawings, sculpture, woodcraft, jewellery, pottery, gifts and cards for sale.
It is located in Wigton town centre (near the Memorial Fountain).
The market town of Wigton is well-served by public transport (buses and trains) and there is a large public car park nearby.
