Bio Henry Beeker: I was born on the island of Curacao and I'm not very sure since when I became interested in photography, but I got my first camera from my father as a present when I finished high school. I remember taking pictures with this small camera on the Amazon river when making a trip together with my father by a cargo ship to the in-lands of Venezuela. I really wish I still got those pictures of all those indians with their boats peddling after the ship begging for food. If I could only go back and take those pictures again, but ... this time with my digital Nikon D3s camera. When I really got involved in photography was when I had my baby daughter photographed by a local studio and thought I could do a better job. I bought myself a Mamiya 645 and did wedding photography for over 30 years. Very recently I migrated to the Netherlands and I am dedicating my time now doing some stock photography. And of course, everywhere I go I bring my dear digital friend with me. However I must say, most of my time I spent in front of the computer editing and archiving those pictures I took in some split seconds.
