My name is Tasha Chawner.

Wife, mother of two, avid scrapbooker, photographer, mad-keen bead artist, & the creative brains & hands of For You Designs.

For You Designs was born in the summer of 2003.

I was making a matching bracelet & necklace set for my sister, for Christmas. I enjoyed the making (the giving was even more fun!), so picked up some more beads & kept on making jewellery. That Christmas almost all of my family & friends received a piece of hand-made jewellery. The feedback from them was positive. I was still wondering what I was going to do when I ‘grew up’, & wanted to be able to work around my children, so I decided to pursue my hobby & develop it into a business.

I have been beading & crafting, in one form or another, since my early teens. In between university, running various businesses, teaching & starting a family, it had all fallen by the way-side & been forgotten. Every now & then, I would create something on a whim - a new necklace for a party, a bracelet for a gift, a hand-made card, a painting for my wall.

I’ve always been a little left of centre. Never one to follow the fashion trends - rather take the bits I like, & translate them to suit my style.

My vision for For You Designs is somewhat similar. Create jewellery & accessories that are different… unique… literally one-of-a-kind. Above all, I wanted to create beautiful, quality jewellery - that is affordable to everyone.
